Evaluation for Adding music to a scene

Evaluation: Adding Music into a scene For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to create a different kind of mood for a scene. the scene i choose to do was Jurassic park, the car ride to the dinosaurs. i had to get a scene where the music was cut out and put my own music where i had to get it off youtube to create a different meaning and mood. The song i picked was Perfect by ed sheeran, this song had to be instrumental because i didn't want to have lyrics over the clip as i wanted to see how it could affect the mood and change the meaning. We used GarageBand which i found was really easy to use as its simple and straight forward. To make sure that the music as at the same time as where i wanted it to be i had to drag the music towards where i wanted it and i had to cut some of the video out to make it shorter and easier for me to add the music. Overall i did what i were intending to do and it was create more of a sad moment within this part of the movie because the movie

Evaluation for Dubbing

The Evaluation For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to record a voice over for a scene of a movie to change the tone and message of that music. The scene that we choose to do was from mean girls where they were in the canteen talking to the new girl. Me and my partner choose to do this as it was easy to think of what they would say and they hardly spoke in that scene. what went well was when we edited it on the scene it fit perfectly into the silent gaps which we were really proud off, however i fell like we could've said more as it wasn't that much, when we listened to the voice over it was a bit fast so we had to slow down and it was also a bit echoey so we edited that to make it sound good and real. We wanted the mood and meaning to change as it was a bit sad so we added strong words to make there attitudes towards the two characters different and wanted the atmosphere to feel strong and tense. What could've of been better if we said something more or added

Evaluation for voiceover

The Evaluation For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to record a voice over for a scene of a TV show to change the tone and message of that music. The scene that we choose to do was from Friends where it was Thanks giving and all of Rachels friends were around the table and she was talking to her friend Ross and her enemy Will, they were talking about the "I hate Rachel Club". We wanted the mood and meaning to change as it was kind of a dry atmosphere so we added strong words to make there attitudes towards the two characters different and wanted the atmosphere to feel strong and tense. Unit 38 Soundtrack

The Kingsman: Bar fight Scene  The sounds in the clip are dramatic and at times there are also some heroic sounds because it is required for the effect that it makes. This effect is of something or someone that is either becoming dramatic or heroic. An Example is shown when the group of boys that come inside the pub to look for trouble. The sound begins with a tension with in its tune. It then moves onto a sounds that starts to fade into a dramatic sound, this then creates a dramatic irony because the soundtrack suggests that an unsuspecting character is in imminent danger. Another effect this creates is Realism, it sorts of puts the audience on their feet making them feel the suspense that is being presented at that time. Like here when Colin Firth who plays Harry starts to look up the doors and turns his head towards the group of boys. This creates a suspense for the audience making them think whats going to happen.   Diegetic sound is sound that is naturally hearable in the scene.

Homework: Children of men case study Opening scene When Theo enters the coffee shop full of people watching the news of the death of baby Diego, he appears to have no interest in the death of the youngest human on earth since the start of the infertility of the human race. This shows that he is different than the others so it makes the audience think that he is odd and has no sympathy. With sound, we start with a black screen and we get the sound of a newsreader reporting on the political interest situations around the world. The effect of this is to make the viewer focus more on the news reports and being told before we see anything that the nature of society is. Another effect that we have is that it deprives us of sight, so it becomes confusing and unsettling to us as we are trying to find out where the voice is coming from and what is happening. It connects with what people in society are feeling as well with the unsettling and unease of the event that is going on around them.
